Meet the Founder
Shawn Doc’s journey into media production traces back to his middle school days around 2004-2005 when he first began capturing skate videos and mini-skits with friends. This early foray into video production was bolstered by the advent of YouTube, marking the beginning of what would evolve into a significant career in media. Growing up in an environment steeped in creativity—thanks to his mother's involvement in the music industry and her founding of Michele Clark's Sunset Sessions—Shawn was inspired from a young age to turn his passion for media into a professional career.
After graduating from high school, Shawn immediately immersed himself in the professional world, securing various jobs in the industry that melded standard 9-to-5 expectations with his entrepreneurial spirit.
In 2015, at the age of 23, Shawn leveraged this robust foundation to launch sDoc Media. The company initially focused on smaller projects for local brands and musicians but quickly expanded its portfolio to producing global commercials featuring Serena Williams, Macklemore, Kyle Busch, and more.
Recognizing the need to operate on a global scale, Shawn has since built a network of directors, shooters, and editors located around the world. This talented team works collaboratively to capture and create all types of content, allowing sDoc Media to offer a wide range of services and maintain flexibility in project locations and logistics.
Shawn’s career trajectory took a dynamic turn when he joined FaZe Clan, initially sDoc Media was poised to lead esports content in 2020. However, the onset of the pandemic necessitated a strategic shift, leading him to secure a full-time position where he quickly ascended to VP of Content. In this role, Shawn pioneered innovative strategies that integrated live sports coverage styles with esports, significantly influencing the industry.
Most recently, directed and produced a national commercial for Call of Duty and finished production on the short film, "The Land Must Feed."
